![]() How I came to Bionic Reading is a somewhat strange story. During my studies, I was asked to design a book for a Swiss bestselling author. I am a typographic designer and have been dealing with type, form and how text can be optimally received for over 25 years. Namely also a human being.Īs already mentioned, I come from Switzerland. And that ’s why it ’s only right and important for us to let you know who ’s behind the product. Why not.Ī warm “Grüezi ” from Switzerland. My name is Renato. I am the founder and creator of Bionic Reading. It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself shortly, because we are developing a product for you. For people of all colors. I hope you now understand who and what is behind Bionic Reading. Please support me in making Bionic Reading available worldwide as a reading standard. As I explain in the YouTube video, the product is for all readers who want to use Bionic Reading. The feedback I have received over the years has of course been integrated into the further development. That Bionic Reading helps people with dyslexia I received directly from the people concerned. It has not been explicitly tested whether it is helpful for people with dyslexia or not. But of course there were also probands who found the effect disturbing. But it can be said that the majority had a positive effect. The experiment was independent and carried out by the Swiss University. There was a text without BR and a text with a fixed setting (1 variant) with Bionic Reading. It was tested whether reading on the screen is better with Bionic Reading or not. ![]() The preliminary study consisted of 12 probands who did not know Bionic Reading. The Swiss Institute InnoSuisse supported me and donated an amount for this preliminary study. This spring I was allowed to do a small preliminary study with a Swiss University. Now it is 6 years that I have been working on Bionic Reading. In spring 2020 I put all my efforts on one card and worked 100% for Bionic Reading. And of course, through the experience of the still very many options I have developed, which I want to implement step by step in Bionic Reading. So that each reader can use their own reading setting. What looks so simple now is based on a matrix I designed to make Bionic Reading available as an individual reading method. I did my work in the family business during the day and worked on Bionic Reading in the evening and at night. Only in 2016 I started to develop Bionic Reading. The idea of Bionic Reading was born already in 2009, during my studies to become a typographic designer. ![]() And I spent a lot of money because I believe in the idea and the benefit for people. Werner von Siemens says: “ It is not essential to run through the wall with your head, but to find the door with your eyes.”īionic Reading is not a big company. Bionic Reading consists of me, Renato Casutt, and 2 super cool guys who support me with their know-how in software development.
